One thing I learned from the excellent folks at The Baldur's
Gate Chronicles (http://www.bgchronicles.com/torment/)
is how to do a custom full install of Planescape: Torment.
Provided you have the extra hard disk space (2+ GB), I'd highly

at BGC, this solves minor bugs and improves gameplay tremendously.
"Sounds great," you say, "but how do you do it?" Simply
install as normal, following the default instructions before
throwing in a twist or two. Next, find something else to occupy

I think you can probably figure it out from here. :) Of
course, if you don't want to clog up all of your hard drive,
you can just copy one or two of these CDs instead of all three.
If you do the complete full install, you'll only need to leave
CD 2 in your CD drive whenever you play. Also, this will drastically
improve gameplay speed as it will be loading data locally,
unless of course you're one of those lucky bastards with a
40+ speed CD-ROM. I have a pretty decent 32X CD drive, but
I noticed a marked improvement after doing the full install.
Thanks, Baldur's Gate Chronicles!
